Signs and symptoms are variable depending on the content (only meninges or also spinal cord tissue), location, and severity of the lesion, but may include motor, sensory, and/or sphincter dysfunction, hydrocephalus, and/or skeletal anomalies (e. g. scoliosis, hemivertebrae), among others.
